Simpson Booth is a specialist recruitment and HR outsourcing company. After two years in business, we were approached to help them move from a start-up to having a significant profile in the energy industry. 

Working with a brand consultant, together we undertook research and mapping their environment in order to develop a brand positioning – 'Simply better people solutions' – that captured their unique approach and offer, and developed their wider verbal and visual identity.

The design solution was to project a Zen-like feel of calm & simplicity to help reassure clients that SB would take the pain out of recruitment and HR. Images of calm seas and the use of circles reflected this and the colour emerald was introduced as being relevant to the energy sector - yet with a distinctive point of difference. The suite of assets was buoyed up by a custom set of graphics relevant to each service provided and an infographic style developed.

Their new brand has been extremely successful – in increasing their profile among their target markets and raising awareness of their unique offer. We then continued to work with them to expand their brand and support their entry into other sectors. 

Simpson Booth have also since set up a tax offer, and needed to start selling this aspect of their work in a more proactive way. This ‘sister’ brand – Berkeley Booth – used and built upon the existing suite of brand assets, thereby referencing the core brand and promoting cross-selling, and building wider awareness of their collective offer.
