  • Aquila Built Health are structural engineers using next-generation inspection technologies to monitor and protect the health of buildings. With roots in the Swiss-based Tectus Group and a franchise model inspired by the globally recognised BBR Network, Aquila blends deep technical expertise with a fresh, scalable approach.

Their mission is to make the built world more sustainable — helping preserve asset value and reduce carbon emissions by supporting the global roll-out of structural investigation and asset management technologies.

  • As a new brand entering a highly technical and traditionally conservative sector, Aquila needed to quickly establish credibility while setting themselves apart. The brand had to balance engineering precision with environmental purpose — and support their ambitions to scale globally through a franchise model.

  • This was a solo project from start to finish. I created a refined brand identity centred around a golden-ratio eagle icon — designed for clarity, strength and balance. The eagle’s hawk-like eye became a visual metaphor for scrutiny and protection, reflecting Aquila’s role as a vigilant presence watching over the built environment.

The visual identity extended into a structured yet flexible design system rolled out across the company’s website, brand guidelines, brochures, presentations, e-newsletters, social media, online learning platform and event materials. Together, these tools built trust and consistency — empowering a franchise-led growth model across global markets.

  • The new brand positioned Aquila Built Health as a credible, forward-thinking force in structural engineering. Since launch, the business has thrived — attracting franchisees, securing global contracts, and rolling out a consistent, scalable communications toolkit that empowers their mission to protect the built environment.

Client perspective

Jenny has been a great help on our project to launch AQUILA, the Tectus Group’s new high-tech structural investigation company with an international network of franchisees. Her work in developing our website and all aspects of the branding including the logo has been excellent in every respect, and we very much appreciated her positive attitude, her quick responses and her pleasant collaboration style. We look forward to working with her on further projects in the future.
