The Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE) is the world’s largest membership body for structural engineers, representing over 28,000 members across more than 100 countries. It champions professional standards, shares knowledge, and advocates for a safer built environment through engineering excellence.
-
To modernise an outdated identity and create a more coherent system for applying the brand across an expanding suite of products, services, and platforms. The previous brand lacked flexibility and consistency, making navigation and recognition difficult for its global audiences.
-
Collaborating with a brand consultant, we redefined the brand platform and delivered an updated visual and verbal identity, brand guidelines, and a full set of assets. A core part of the solution was a 'product matrix'—a strategic tool to determine branding levels for each product type. This enabled clearer navigation and ensured consistent application across the organisation’s extensive communications.
-
The refreshed brand has helped bring clarity, consistency, and renewed credibility to IStructE’s global presence—making it easier for members and the public to engage with their growing portfolio of services.
